Last night at the fabulous Soldiering On Awards Fighting With Pride, the LGBT+ Veterans Charity, won the Defence Inclusivity Award.
Craig Jones MBE, Executive Chair, and Caroline Paige, Chief Executive of Fighting With Pride, said: “What an honour to be part of such an incredible evening and nominated alongside a group of people whose selfless dedication has changed lives and touched many.
“Winning this award is a highlight of an incredible year for the veterans we have the privilege to fight for; the Prime Minister’s apology on behalf of the nation in July marked the culmination of a very long road travelled on behalf of people who’ve suffered unimaginable loss and shame.
“We must now make sure those members of the LGBT+ Veterans community come forward and accesses the support they are entitled to.”
